It's like 15 minutes of hearing the "ryan" guy talk on the phone or narrate with the cheesy voice recorder effect, 5 Minutes of scene transitions (Eg. "Dead Time", "Investigation", Etc), 3 Minutes of them discussing on who they should bring in do "handle" this situation and or whether the girls want to tag along or not, 2 minutes of time talking to the family and how they should continue from there, and finally the remaining time is them sitting in a room trying to talk to the "spirits" which always seems to end up with them about to give up and suddenly a door closes or the discover a shocking detail that only so and so could have known.

Too be honest it is somewhat dissatisfied with the show but it really needs to be an hour long show to cover more details and actually prove it is real, rather than getting spooked and having to call in a median or priest (or in once episode call some lady on the phone and have her say I'm speaking the the ghost of "chris" and the "dark man" is keeping me from passing over... oooo scary") just to have them say oh this is happening because the family is dysfunctional or something happened in the past to X person the causes them to connect with the spirits. On top of all this, they jump to this conclusion in only like 3 day's, I mean WTF at least spend 1 week at one of these house and actually prove stuff it happened instead of a 30 second video clip of a door closing.

I have yet to see anything remotely scary though.

you sure you not talking about the "ghost hunters," the day-time rotor rooter specialists? those guys are horrible.

no they aren't. they go in to debunk the claims of ghost activity and try to find a different cause. they have caught some very very interesting stuff on camera.

unlike that brit show "Most Haunted" those guys suck. they are the opposite and go in to to prove ghost activity and all they show is them screaming and some "psychic" saying "yea there is a male presence here"

I'm so glad other people think this show sucks.

I ranted about it in a ghost thread last week and no one came to my aid.

One of the shows I watched involved them going to some trash family's haunted TRAILER.

lamest new show I have seen in quite some time. seeing the commercials for it really sucked me in too. super cheesy, super lame.

i can make a walk into my backyard to fill up my birdfeeder sound scarier.

The episode I watched a few weeks back had me drawn in and was interesting, and dealt with a little kid who could see both friendly and nonfriendly spirits.. however, as much as I would love to believe the things on a paranormal tv show are real, I just cannot force myself into completely believing. I thoroughly believe in ghosts/spirits, but I wonder if it is as easy to come across them as often as they tend to on these assorted shows. I've had experiences myself that lead me to believe in ghosts/spirits, but how they fit into the world I have no clue. If any of these shows are real, I would love to know.

Yeah, I was wondering the exact same thing. How do these things interact with the physical realm yet remain unseen? I guess it's like a force or something, where it can interact but cannot be seen. Strange.

well, I'd say some of them do go unseen, while others can be seen by the naked eye, but even better with different equipment. However, the majority tend to go unseen. What doesn't help, is the idea that spirits are humans who have died. Do we actually have a soul/spirit that leaves our body? If there are ghosts, does that mean being reincarnated in another body is actually possible? Or, are spirits simply a whole different life form that humans generally cannot touch or see? What if they are evidence of a parallel universe? etc etc etc. I have so many questions. I hate not knowing things. Drives me nuts. In 30 years, you may just be able to visit me in some state psycho ward.

when people tell me they dont believe in ghost i ask them to then explain what a EVP is... my sister does ghost hunting and has recorded some very creepy EVP's. i totally believe in them.

Just because you can't explain it doesn't mean it's a ghost. That's bad logic. You want it to be a ghost, your sister wants it to be a ghost. The people that look for ghosts are the people the least suitable to do so because they'll find one behind every corner.

All these ghost shows are the same, it's a bunch of "did you hear that", "did you see that", "what was that". You can go to any strange place and get these same exact reactions, but only "believers" will think it's a ghost because they want it to be. It's all in your head.
