I just finished uploading parade pictures @ <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="https://www.photoshop.com/user/deadtrees">https://www.photoshop.com/user/deadtrees</a>.

1. Thanks to the cloudy weather, I didn't have to worry about getting too much contrast and harsh light. On the other hand, I had to worry about highlight clipping on the white sky but it's eaiser to work with it.

2. I wish I had a telephoto lens but 24-70mm worked quite well on 5D.

3. I find New Standard picture style developed by DCM to be a lot better than Standard picture style by Canon. Though Standard picture style is pretty good in all ocasions, the color it produces is too thick, not to mention the strong tone curve. Messing with parameters helped quite a bit but New Standard really fixes those problems.

P.S: Yes, I know viewing pictures in Flash based website can be pain in the ass but Photoshop Express is the only site I know where you can view pictures in big size. All the other sites like Flickr or Pbase makes it look like you're viewing JPEG files on the internet whereas PE is more like on-line gallery.

Very good show! I had to get my Adobe Flash upgraded - but - it was worth it.

That was a nice parade. I especially liked the matched percherons pulling the old fire engine.

All it needed was Col. Bogey in the background. :)
