HOLY SHIT these are delicious! Ralph's has been carrying a few of the other verities of Paqui chips for awhile now. I <3 spicy so I had to buy a bag.

Opening the bag, they smell wonderfully of roasted corn, wow. My nose didn't twitch at all and I didn't smell any heat, so I already a bit disappointed there. But I was in love with the corn smell.

1st chip - good flavor, a blend of some spices, some garlic and onion. Very mild heat wise considering the name. I pretty much expected to be let down though.

2nd chip - still very good, a little more of the spice was kicking in.

3rd chip - I felt a strong tingling on the corner of my lips and my tongue

4th chip - THESE FUCKERS ARE HOT, like sheieieieit!

I stopped eating to see where the heat goes. It continued to get hotter and hotter. These make the Habanero Poore Brother's chips I love, which are too spicy for most people I know seem unflavored.

I've had about 2 dozen different hot chips from boutique makers, some which some were very very hot, but these destroy all of those. They're the 1st chips I've ate that made me sweat. I ate about 14, a minute or so after stopping I noticed I was still sweating from my forehead and my nose was starting to go too. It's been about 7 minutes now and I can still feel a bit of burning in my throat and the corner of my lips are on fire. These would be fucking epic as Nachos with some Jalapenos or Habaneros diced up on them. Or even just with cheese. I gave them to a few Mexican neighbors to try, both went "yummy!" at 1st bite then about 15 seconds later told me what the fuck are these and both refused another. For reference they both can handle spicy foods pretty well.

If you like HOT and live by a Ralphs go pick these up, limited time only so they'll be gone soon. They're on sale for $3 a bag right now. They're the best tortilla chips I've ever had hands down. If you're not a chili head you won't like these at all, the inital flavors amazing but the burn is intense and it lingers for a long ass time.

Since there's no Ralph's nearby, I looked up the chips on Google Express. $3.69 for Paqui chips (6oz bag) at Whole Foods and no ghost pepper :(.

Is the store close? I know locally for me most of the supermarket web sites don't have a very complete list of products they carry. I ended up eating about half the bag and WOOOOOOO, if you like hot these are ridiculously epic. Just as tortilla chips the texture's so much better than any other store bought chip I've had. They make non spicy ones, and less hot like Jalapeno. Anyone who likes tortilla chips these are fucking amazing. Good strong corn taste, nice crunch and not gritty at all. It's almost on the level of the chips they make and serve at a good Mexican spot. These are Halloween time seasonal I believe. I know I saw them online last year around October.

I did some Googling and according to pepper heads like Ted Barus these are the hottest chips he's eaten. And the list of shit he's tried is pretty much everything out there. I'm absolutely stunned there are chips hot enough to make my nose run. Now I'm off to Carl's to get an El Diablo burger, gonna toss a few of these chips on it to see how it works out.
