Ah if you bought that machine from Staples, you shoulda gotten their Extended Service Protection. Basically you buy the warranty, call up the # in the pamphlet and tell them you got a paperjam from hell. They'll send a Staples gift card for $200 or whatever you paid for that machine so you can buy a new machine or anything else in any Staples store. The best part is, you can keep your current machine even if it's broken or not. 🙂
Sounds like a system just begging to be abused.
Yeah but according to my boss (LOL)...he says it's not really abusing the system because:
a) Your actual money is already with Staples
b) It keeps you coming back to the store
I'm just a Sales Associate. That's the pitch line that I have to use to sell warranties to keep my job. I actually believe in their ESP services cuz basically I can buy a printer now, and 2 years down the road...get another printer and end up only paying $20 for it ($20 = estimated price of the warranty that you pay now).
