Unfortunately no. If I remember correctly, you can only buy it 14 days after you buy the printer (basically the same amount of times allowed on returns). Honestly, I wonder why so many people don't abuse this system. The only drawbacks to this that i see is...
a) You lose track of your receipt and/or pamphlet that has your ESP info on it.
b) You forget that you even bought the damn thing in the long run.
c) It makes the amount you pay initially alot less attractive.
The funny thing is, people don't understand that warranties these days only cover manufacturer defects (hence the term
limited warranty). Staples' warranty fully 100% covers anything the limited manu. warranty doesn't.
All you gotta do (at my store at least) is either...bring the damn machine in and we'll call the # for you. Or you call the # yourself. If you call the # yourself, you can keep the machine. If you bring the machine in, we keep it...and send it back to the manuf. so they melt it, recycle it and make new stuff with it.

Fellow co-workers refer to the program as a trade-in program since if you just call the # yourself, you can just make up a story about paperjam and they'll OK it. You end up spending like $30 on a printer every 2 years or so.
Might I add that printers don't last that long these days anyways. Co-workers have told me they last up to 3 years. Something about how electronics switched from aluminum to copper circuitry. Aluminum circuitry lasted forever while Copper Circuitry lasts 2-3 years in many cases.
