They call this a sweepstakes but here's the deal - if the opening kickoff of the superbowl gets returned for a touchdown, everyone who has preregistered (first 200,000) will get a large 1-topping Papa John's pizza for $.25.

Unfortunately that's $.25 more than I am willing to pay for Papa John's. Actually you'd have to pay me more than $.25 to eat it since my local place is roughly 1,000 times better and easily affordable.

Just another one of those elitists. Local hamburger joint is better, beer out of tap only and not american, all that stuff that people always say to be cool.

Or those who have some clues....

There are several local shops or chains that have better pizza than Pappa Johns, but I wouldn't turn it down....it's pizza!
 
I always remembered Papa John's as being the best, but over the years I've started to like Pizza Hut & Dominos better....in that order.

Alot of people complain about Papa Johns and there Pizza, and even some complain about everything. But its FootBall.....and what do people usually eat when it comes to football? PIZZA! I mean even if its $.25 they still complain....he even says his local place is 1000 times more affordable yet he comaplins about $.25!
 
I can't stand Papa John's, but 0.25 is still worth it.

There's an old saying "Pizza is like sex. When it's good, it's great. When it's bad, it's still pretty good."

I didn't say my local place was MORE affordable, just that it was affordable. If you give me the choice between a large pie from my local place for $15+tip or a $.25 Papa John's pie, I'd pay the extra cash every time. I understand not everyone shares that sentiment, but I just don't see the point in eating something I don't like just to save less than $20.
