Panda Express seriously needs to start weighing out their portions

What are prices and portions like there? One is starting construction soon about eleven miles from me.

More rice or noodles than anything, portions are decent sized for a chain, but not very big for how much you pay. A 3 item combo there has less meat than a 1 item combo from 2 local spots by me that are less then 1/2 a mile from it . With that said, they have some outstanding Orange Chicken, if it wasn't for the fact I can get 3x as much of it that's 90% as good for 50 cents less, Panada Express would be my go to spot. I perfer Americanized Chinese Food so imho it kills all the authentic places that don't add much to flavor anything. They also have some very good Mandarin Chicken

The guy is a big fat man. Dang let him have at least some little thing in life to be happy about, even if it's just getting a little extra bit of portions. Think of it this way, he already got the big giant steaming pile of fat portion of life, and you got the nice sleek slim lined portion of life.

Let him have it and move on 🙁

LET HIM BE HAPPY? Are you serious? He's a fat man.... a terrible terrible human being that should be made to suffer! jk jk jk jk come on atot

I've never tried this Panda Express. Is it just food court Chinese food? Tonnes of chafing dishes filled with pre-cooked food?

Deliciously fried crispy battered chicken dipped in "orange" sauce and with Bacon... I'm Chinese and I love it... 😀

That and the Beijing Beef are so bomb. You know the food is ridiculous bad for you...

You can ask for 1/2 rice and 1/2 chow mein. However, I usually go for orange chicken and vegetables. Less evil 🙂

I don't always eat Panda Express, but when I do, I enjoy it. Anyone who believes they should eat more than those glutton enablers provide needs to walk a mile a day, starting right now.

Around here there are a couple of really good take out chinese places with limited seating...they have a lot to choose from... When I know I am going for that stuff, I call it in 10 minutes before I get there and pick it up. The quality is better than PE and local buffets and portion vs cost is excellent.

Soup by the quart is like $2.25 + a big enough portion of rice/entree to feed my wife and I for $6.50. If I get a larger portion entree and a few egg rolls with the soup, it might be $11 before tip....and everything is much fresher than Panda Express.

Absolutely untrue, unless you reside in BFE.

I've eaten Orange Chicken everywhere, we have an uber fancy sit down Chinese place around the way from me. It's famous or something, when you walk in there are pics on the wall of celebrities who've eaten there. Reagan, Arnold, Bruce Willis and many others. I paid like 18.95 for Orange Chicken. I'll take PE over it any day, kthx! Now I don't know how the rest of their food measures up because I don't eat it. But I've had Orange Chicken at about 100 spots and I'll put PE's up against every single one of them.

As I thought. I'll eat that stuff in a pinch if I need to. It can be decent as long as it has not been sitting out for too long.

yep, Panda Express orange chicken + honey walnut shrimp is not bad if it's super fresh.

it is what it is

Beijing Beef > Orange Chicken.

And at the moment, I do weigh 300 pounds, BTW, but after I go take a dump here in a bit I'll be down to about 295.

PF Changs is fusion cooking, hardly stuff from a real chinese place.

I like General Tso's and Orange Beef. Sadly the restaurant I worked for was the one's that did it best.

I went to the local Panda Express recently because I had an urge for some sweet and sour pork. They had no pork dishes, only chicken and beef. WTF? No pork?
A chinese(?) restaurant with no pork, extreme failure. I will never return.

Clearly you've never had their orange chicken. Its like crack.

Weird. One opened up down the street from my old office a few years ago. A few people went and tried it out, specifically the orange chicken, and said it was horrible.

I've never gone to a PE because of that. I may try it out if I'm ever near one again.

They used to have sweet and sour pork, but it wasn't very popular so they stopped bothering.

I like the sweet fire chicken and orange chicken.
