I like the TIVO, since it's cheaper. The advantage of this unit is that you can record & watch 2 shows at once--something the TIVO can't do......is that the worth the extra cash?......well that's a personal thing the customer has to decide. >>
Yes, TiVo is cheaper. However, remember that TiVo has a $10 monthly fee (or $250 lifetime -- that is the lifetime of the unit). ReplayTV does not have a monthly charge for schedules, so it comes out to be much cheaper.
Also, I don't understand what you mean by record and watch at the same time. Yes, you can watch a previously recorded program while a new one is being recorded. But you can't record one and watch another live one at the same time (UltimateTV does this, I believe, but that requires DirectTV).
