Wow....I bought this thing a few months ago for $300 retail at Ultimate Electronics...very nice deal!

For those that do decide to get a -97S, don't forget to head on over to AVSForum.com and find the thread that has the link to the firmware upgrade for it.

It has some enhancements in it that most will find useful...and upgrade the firmware is about as painless as it gets...

Note to all:

The 720p and 1080i modes only are available over the HDMI connection...the component does not support these modes.

So, there's a catch to the low price...

...makes one wonder what the warranty is on that item then?

I'm sure the price has come down on a new retail model since I bought mine a few months ago...unless you need the absolute lowest price on this model regardless or warranty, people considering this deal may want to check out the retail price of a new unit then...
