The Meijer on E. Washington in Indy has the Panasonic 27SX12 flat-screen TV on clearance for $364 (no rebates!) -- Best Buy and Circuit City both sell this for $430. See this link for review/specs...

Now the catch... they only have two left (and one is a display model), and it's in Indy (don't know if other cities/stores have these as well...)

NO ONE buy the one left in stock!! Use it to price match with Best Buy's 110% guarantee. That will bring the price down to $327.60.

I just bought this TV at Brandsmart B&M in south Florida for $346.
Great TV has one of the most detailed pictures I have seen. I think it looks
better than a lot of the so called HDTV sets.

"Looks better than HDTV"

Nothing looks better than an HDTV. Just hook a HDTV set to a Progressive Scan DVD and you will see the light.

Allaamu I said so-called about 50% of the projection HDVT sets that I have looked
at don't look any better than the better analog flat screen tube tvs. Most of the flat screen
HDTVs look great, but they start at $1000 for a 27in. My friend just bought a JVC 36 with
a rounded CRT that is HDTV ready and it does not look that great.

Fire17,

That rounded JVC 26 inch "HDTV" Ready sounds like a decent analog tv, not digital. Anyone who've ever been to a Circuit City or Sears showroom can tell you, the true digital HDTV is the future. I am not trying to debate or crap or anything. I am just saying that there's a major difference between Analog Televisions such as TAU's and Digital Televisions. Once you go HD, you'll never go back. An Xbox with the Component-in connection and either the 480/1080 display iis the best thing on Earth.

C'mon you know HDTV's cost a fortune today. That's why I was asking.
I mean, is one HDTV worth two or three or more Panasonic 32 inchers (with two tuners in them)? Perhaps if you're single.

I don't know, I'm impatiently waiting for a half-way reasonable HDTV deal but it's not likely there will be one any time soon...
