The wife & I debated the topic of new phones today. We settled (or, rather she decided) on the Panasonic 2.4GHz GigaRange Extreme, Model TG2560S - Item # 436473 at Staples. It's $180 and has a $40 MIR. Throw one of those $30 off coupons in the deal and you got a heck of a nice phone for $110.

Greddy,

according to Richard's post.
The rebate form at Staples also applies to the model you posted (2570 I believe).

better edit the rebate amount to $40

That's a heck of a deal of 2.4ghz Pana w/answering for $110

edit: oops......I didn't read that well enough, sorry...it's $30 for 2570 and $40 for 2560

I think they had these at Costco BM for $129 or $149 before the rebate....

I just bought the TG-2680N earlier today from 101phones.com for $249 shipped. It's their top of the line 2.4 GHz Elite Cordless phones! :D I don't really need all the features etc.. just for the hell of it! :p It's not even listed on their website yet! and has talking caller ID too.. ;)
Link for anyone who got money to waste like me :p

Nice deal. But best phone onthe market right now is
PanaSonic Gigarange Elite (not extreme and not shock and splash resistant as extreme)

MOdel: KX-TG2680N .. It has millions of features...
Best place to check out all phone features and read up on what's new in phones is www.ablecomm.com and their prices are comparable. I personally bought mine for $219 from Buy.com when they had free shipping days...
Also, you are looking for small office multi-line phones, check out panasonic 2 and 4 line systems, they are amazing (you pay higher price though)...
And dont forget you can always use www.dialpad.com or www.net2phone.com, etcc for free internet calls if you have a fast connection and willing to put up with a bit of hiss up and having to speak thorough microphone..
Happy phoning

150$ (149 + papper clip)
-30$ off $150
-40$ MIR
=80$+TAX - brand new phone :) The only prob is, I heard this phone is not very good. Lots of return in Circuit City.

I bought the other elite phone 2670N on egay for 134 shipped, so I think paying 200+ for the 2680n is a bit out of hand. wats the difference anyway?

This phone sucks big time. I have had it for about 2 months now and had nothing but problems. Volume fades in and out. I get 'out of range' messages when I am standing right next to the phone. Do a search on the net for numerous complaints. I am going to sell mine on e*ay and get a decent Sony or Uniden phone.
