20 years down the road that will be 20" to us

Well at normal seating distances of 10 feet or so, anything much larger than that is going to be too large for our field of vision.

The implants will have already taken care of that by the year 2020....

Good god, if it broke it better come with one hell of a in house repair service. And when it comes time to upgrade, how the hell do you remove such a beast, Im sure you cant just open the door and throw it into the dumpster.

At some point it will become a very expensive piece of sh1t some of you may have paid 3 years worth of mortgages to own. In 3 years time it will be out dated, worthless, and the fact it took a crane to put it in your home, where ever they dropped it, is where that big, honking, heavy turd of a tv is going to stay, for ever, so you better have some damn good creative ideas on what your going to do with it when 1080p become obsolete.

OK, with TV's, there's normal size, large, huge, and obnoxious. I think anything over 65" starts to get into that category.

I don't get it. Why not just buy a $1,000 DLP projector? My DLP is perfect and throws and 8 or 9' picture :p

No way 1080P is going to be outdated in 3 years time.

It was more an example, with technology, it about 3 years time, new technology will have come out making that tv a thing of the past with better features out for the newer one. That tv weighs 770lbs, not an easy thing to go move around, and really once you get something that big, that weighs that much, you had better plan on keeping it for a very long time, and again if it breaks, you cant go throw it in your trunk and haul it to go get worked on, which means you will have stinky techs walking through your home tracking mud and dirt and grime all over you carpets, and making a hell of mess while they try to work on it.

I find funny is how people bitched how crt tvs were so bulky and heavy, and how lcd is so much better because it is lighter, and can hang on a wall, can move it around, and place them virtually anywhere you wanted, this thing, if your lucky enough to get it in your home, once its in, its in unless you hire a team of movers and a crane to come move it around for you. Kinda a step backwards, if you ask me from all the people who bitched about how bad a regular crt tv was, and now this thing :p

And again, for $148,785 usd, that thing better come with one hell of a warranty, a 15 year movers clause, free removal and waste recycle when it is broken and cannot be fixed, and some free unlimited upgrades for life.
