Temps are the same O/C 2.4 to 2.8. I have a large case and have 3 fans 2 in back and one up front. I seriousely havent seen any difference in performance with the decreased airflow. This case has openings for 120mm fans, and it was noisy as heck with them in. Switched to quiet vs airflow and dont have any better results on O/C potential. Temps are the same just less noise.

1 or 2 degrees difference in temp is a mute point for a stable O/C IMHO if your chip will take it then these fans will pull out the heat

BTW- I have a stock hsf

kind of a noob question... but do you use a 3 to 4-pin adapter to power all three fans? And does an adapter make a difference... like the power supplied directly from the PSU vs. indirectly from the 3-pin connection on the MOBO.

The adapter doesn't make a difference as long as the fan gets power somehow. Only reason they are used is because there aren't enough fan headers on a mobo to power 3-5 fans.

Can you get thermostats so the fan doesn't run all the time? When my system is idle it doesn't need it...
