when you put your ear like 5-6 inches away from it do you hear anything if any besides wind noise cause i hear a slight clicking noise but its not a sharp clicking but a flat clicking. im not complaining cause i dont hear it when i close my case and put it in the tower holder in my desk. just wanted to know if its just me 🙂

The clicking is heard in almost every single pc fan out there, if not every one. Its the properties of the motor and cannot be avoided, although new magnetic bearing technology is currently being tested (and has been tested before to no avail) to see if this can be removed. Some fans clicking noise is more audible than others, but they all click. Its not just you 🙂

you are fine. The clicking is normal. If you dont' want as much clicking you will have to fork out money for Nexus fans.

Matsush!ta = Panasonic. It's a Chinese one at Jab-tech, so it may not be well balanced like the Japanese ones tend to be--but it does have tach...

Grrr, AT tells me I have a censored word in a perfectly valid post, and then gives me back a blank text area!

i thought these fan were 'silent' but i still hear it but maybe its just wind noise. is there anyway to reduce that? fan controller/fanmate2 maybe? how quiet are your panaflo 92mm L1's?

It is turbulence aka wind noise. Can use a fan controller, but I use SpeedFan.....its free.....and you can set it to turn your fan up/down when it hits your desired temps. For the air they move Pannies are quiet, but as you become addicted to silencing a pc you realize that "quiet" is not so quiet anymore. Your case can make a world of difference as well in the audibleness/resonance of your fans.

i used speedfan to lower the fan to 75% and man what a difference it made plus my temps stayed the same. now the only thing i can hear now is the fan on my x800xt... maybe vf700Cu? on my NB i used a fanmate2 to lower the 7500rpm fan to 5000rpm so nomore whine
