panaflo L1A...can it cool athlon 1900+ on 8045??

can the panaflo L1A (for $2.49) cool an athlon 1900+ on top of an alpha pal 8045? i will have 2 rear and 2 front case fans, also panaflo L1A's, so ventilation wont be a problem. does anyone think this will be an efficient cooler for such a high speed system? it will also have a radeon 8500 in it.....

I will be running the same setup starting tomorrow. I'll post back my results. L1A on XP1900+ and Alpha 8045. I went ahead and ordered an Enermax and Sunon fan to see what I get the best results with out of the 3.

I ran that setup for awhile, yes. The PAL8045 + L1A is more than sufficient for an Athlon XP 2000+.

i've built one with that config for my dad.
works perfect.

but it won't give you much room to o/c.

Yup, I just set up that exact combination last weekend.

The board hasn't been inside a case yet but it's been running on my workbench stable at 1.74Ghz or so.

thanks for the info guys...tell me more if you have any little querks in the setup or whatever...and one other thing...how do you know when the 8045 is down far enough? i dont want to crack the core..but i want it to make full contact and i cant tell by looking......
