panaflo help

i just picked up a 92mm panaflo (marked model FBA09A12V)... it didnt have any wires, so i was wondering which wire was 12v, ground, and 5v? (im assuming thats what they are anyway). can someone that has a panaflo help me? thanks!

oh and if you can help me identify what model (if its L1a, M1a, or H1a i would appreciate it i looked at gizzo's fan page and none of the model numbers ended with a V.. is there some crazy V1a or something? )

I couldn't find any listing for the FBA09A12V fan but here is a .pdf that should at least get you set with the correct electrical orientation: http://www.panasonic.com/industrial_oem/appliance/pdf/fba09a.pdf

Edit: by the way, I believe it is 12V, ground and "locked-rotor" for the three press-in connectors.

According to the second page on this .pdf file, you have a variable speed fan.

IF your fan is the same as all other panaflos I have see the wiring posts are actually labeled. If memory serves me correctly they go (from left to right) 12v, ground, unused. Since your fan is variable speed all this may be completely wrong for all I know.

i didnt even know they had variable speed ones... i cant find anywhere on the site that gives an exact CFM and dba, and since i dont have any wires yet i cant test them, so yea... help me unsolve this mistery!

Since it's variable it would be impossible to determine the exact CFM and noise except for a minimum and maximum. I'd like to know what controls the variable speed? Maybe an internal thermal sensor?

Is it possible that the connector used on the 3 pin connectors that use the motherboard will fit on the fan???

the fan has no connectors right now, no wire (if that's what you're talkin about)

You can simply press the wires into the white "block" on the center section of the fan, it pierces the insulation and you're done (if that isn't stating the obvious).

i know how to connect the fan to wires... but i dont have any wires at all...
