I hate hollywood news. All it does is result in people putting certain celebrities on pedestals, and then breaking down when they fall off. They are all normal people, who 1) happen to have family contacts, or 2) live in SoCal and have ready access to talent agencies. I could probably make it in the industry if I had money or lived there and knew how to find people.

With that in mind, I need to find out how to contact J.J. Abrams. I can/will make it as a writer one day, just have no time to set aside without pay. Between school and military obligations, creativity gets no time.
