I currently have a Duron 800 under my ALPHA6035MUC, and it works fine (most of time @950!), with my two cases fans. I project to buy a TBird 1.4GHz in a month. Must I change my cooler? If yes, what is the best cooler at this time, for that config

I have this same heatsink on a P3@1050Mhz, and temps are right around 41-42C with very good case ventilation(26C MoBo temp). I'd say you could run this combo if your ambient temps were low. If the ambient temp ever rises up high or your case ventilation isn't awesome, I'd say you could run into some problems.

It definitely won't let your chip fry, so you can always try it out. You'll probably just have high full load temps, and at worse you'll get a BSOD or lock up from the heat. Then you can always get a stronger fan like a YS Tech 26CFM that will definitely handle the heat load.

Well my case has two fans, plus the one on the power supply. My duron works at 41 degrees (bios value).

I've been a proponent of Alphas for some time, but they're reaching their limits with 1.4 gig tbirds. Def's p3 puts out somewhere in the neighborhood of 35-40 watts, your overclocked Duron about 45-50, and a 1.4 tbird about 70-75. Big difference. Palominos may have lower heat output, dunno...

Not that it won't work, just that you may need a higher cfm fan (more noise) and there won't be much wiggle room for overclocking.

It seems like ALPHA will release the PAL6045, wich is bigger and had a bigger fan on it: maybe i'll try it!

The one thing i must say about this fan is that it is quiet: you just forget it! Maybe you see why i want to keep it behind my next cpu!
