Palm Vx Aluminum Case 9.99 + SH

Thanks for the great post! I just recently got a Palm V from someone who got it from their boss because the power connection broke and they couldn't charge it anymore. I really didn't want to spend a whole lot on it because I've never used a Palm before but with a USB charger for only $5 I couldn't pass it up. I also picked up the Aluminum case. Great deal thanks again!

looks like "generic" cases and chargers but still good prices! as long as the case protects the palm and the charger charges/syncs right?! gosh, i paid 30 bucks for my Palm Hard Case (i guess i paid for the logo too... : /)
 
i love the hard case for my palm, i think that's the reason i got my palm vx. got it during last black friday sale from staples. 460 worth of stuff for 81 dollars after PM, coupon, MIR. still one of the best deals i've every got.

anyways, back to the case. the palm marker on the case atually started to fade. you can still recognize the palm logo, but the paint is chipping off little by little. i'm sure soon or later it'll by gone.

i'll jump on this deal if they offer colors other than black. if you have a plam v or vx, you really should get a hard case. because you know soon or later, you'll drop the thing. I admit that i did it once already, but saved by the hard case =)
 
wei, how thick is the hard case? I am using the simple leather cover which comes with the IBM workpad C3 (Palm Vx clone). It's very thin and great to put in pocket.
 
I don't think I'm allowed to link to it, but I actually have this case up for auction right now on eBay. You can just search for the information shown on the yahoo site. So one person has a chance to get it for a better price, and less shipping. 😀
 
Do not buy this if you have an M500 or M505. I have an M505, and I tried to buy the Vx Aluminum case(Made by Palm, not a generic) It did not work =(
The 50x's are too wide on top
 
laugh, trust me, you want the hard case.

like i said, i bought my palm vx because of it.

if you really want to know the thickness, i'll say it's about 3 cm front and back.

but i have it in my pocket all the time, it's not too bulky, plus, it's so much better than pocket cover because it flips open and it covers the whole plam
 
laugh.. definitely go for the aluminum case. i have the leather front thing you're talking about, and it offers no protection. that is, it will protect the screen, but isn't sturdy at all. i just got my case in the mail, and since its black, it matches my IBM Workpad C3.
 
Wow, I've found other people w/ a WorkPad c3. If the case is the same size as the Palm model, the aluminium hardcase is definitely better than the leather pouch. These hardcases are the perfect design for the PDA that set the bar for elagance.
 
The case that this deal is for looks fine, but dont under any cicumstances buy the official palm made palmV/Vx hard case. It is all plastic and doesnt close well, cheapest piece of crap i ever bought but at least they took it back without a hassle.
 
Well. I got a palm 4 about a year ago after it having been slid down I-5 here in california at 65+ miles per hour and landing on the yellow line. It had this metal case on it.. other than the case being scarred up the palm works fine 😀

the case seems fine to me... it actually isn't all plastic either - the top and bottom are covered with a sheet of aluminum.

i think the hard palm case is a good investment and will protect your palm. but yes, the "official" palm case is a little overpriced for $29.99 at most places.... lol, hey popeye44, how did THAT happen anyway?!? we're you just "testing" the durability or something? hahaha


btw, in response to BMWnumeroUno - i do not think you can attach the Omnisky and have it fit in the palm case - it JUST fits the palm alone. the other bad thing about this is that you have to take the case off the palm when syncing or connecting the palm to the keyboard and some other devices. you CAN raise the palm cradle up to avoid taking the case off, but it's just a hassle.
