Palm trees possible in TN?

I've seen "HUGE" Magnolia Trees abound here in TN. Just curious if it's easy/cheap to plant a grown Palm Tree (minus plant cost) and have it survive 10+ years.

Yes I've seen huge Magnolia trees.

You might want to call someone in McMinville, Nursery Capital of the World.

Yes, Mc Minnville is the Nursery capitol of the world. I live here. Just wanting some other brains to rein in on this. Palm Trees being the topic :)

Oh, you actually live in McMinnville (profile says Nashville). Or Mac Minnvul as the locals there call it. I used to have to go there a lot. See my profile.

Not unless you can erect a plastic/heated greenhouse over it in the winter - but then you have to worry about it's roots freezing it as they spread out.
