Sucks about the multi-touch pantent crap but hopefully it does turn out to be a good phone but sucks it won't be heavily marketed and won't be able to beat the iphone cus Palm doesn't have as much money as Apple to reach the common person to market it to.

They better figure out something. Palm is betting the farm on the Pre, if it flops they are in even deeper trouble than they are now. It's not my cup of tea but it looks like a slick OS and hope it succeeds. I for one am still holding out for a snapdragon or tegra based phone with a ~3.5" screen for sprint, preferably with Android. Until that time I will ride out my Diamond.

That thing looks awesome! I am sure geeks will flock to it. Not in the iphone way, but I'm sure there are tons anxious to develop some apps for it. Just seeing an all new smartphone OS is a big deal these days. Especially since BB and Windows Mobile have been rehashes as of late.

From what I've seen, this is the phone I want the most but unfortunately it's not coming to AT&T and there's no way I'm going to Sprint. 🙁

Since it's CDMA, I am expecting Verizon to have second dibs.

i cannot for the life of me find out whether or not this will have voice dialing or voice command? my centro does not have it and it kills me...shouldnt it be standard on all effing cell phones? for safety? I have searched...anyone know if the Pre will...if not, it looks like the Palm Pro for me... 🙁

I am really pullin for this. I'm willing to ditch verizon adn break contract. actually for this or the iphone... it's come to a point where it would actually be useful to have. I still don't need the data plan tho, but stuck with it. hence, sprint. I live near DC, so signal shouldn't be a problem. it's more of "will sprint be around in 2010" still...

i would like to see it interface with itunes tho. as strange as that may sound, heh.

doesn't the iphone not have it either? regardless, i've never liked voice dialing, it was about 80% accurate for me. cool, but annoying. speed dial still far more efficient for me.
