The slider reminds me of one of the Kin versions.

The "pad" is probably their best bet, IMO. iPad-esque tablets are getting to be the new craze now that netbooks are no longer hyped up.

The two on the right look like Blackberry Bold / Torch clones.

Those are all mock-ups. And, there is no such thing as a Blackberry Torch clone, because the Torch is a clone of the Pre.

I am somewhat skeptical they will keep the Palm name. I was driving by Palm HQ in Sunnyvale a couple days ago, the signs have all been changed to HP.

I too am getting the point where I'd prefer a huge touch screen to a small screen and keyboard. My Droid is so lame now compared to things like the HD2.

Also like that Palm may venture into the tablet market.

He never said they did, he was simply saying that the portrait slider concept from the site was not a blackberry clone and that he thought that the Torch was RIM's first portrait slider. If that portrait slider is a clone of anything, how about it be a clone of the Palm Pre, you know the previous WebOS device.

And who did invent/was first to really put out a portrait slider? In the same way that Microsoft/Apple didn't invent the GUI paradigm that we have now, but they are more widely attributed to its existence.
