can I do this without add on programs?

No. You need a paint or draw program.

I don't see why you'd want to do that anyway, you can't really write legible text with the stylus anyhow.

amnesiac is right, you need an add-on program, as only the m1xx series shipped with an application to do this(note pad). For you, search for DiddleBug.

depending on the model of your clie, you might have the program.

Clie's are the best out there...

the response time is too slow to write anything useful.. at least that's how it was w/ some 3rd party program my friends visor had. i wanna see those holographic keyboards.. for less than $50 🙂

I don't think there's a default program that does this with graffiti. I used SimpleSketch... what you draw was what you got... not even graffiti... like etch-a-sketch with your stylus. Easy enough.

Pic Chat is pretty cool, it beams whatever you're drawing in real time to another palm..
