that is an auto email that don't mean squit.
 
I got the e-mail saying they can't get any more and my order was cancelled.
Clearly this is a new product that they could get. Looks like they are lying
to cover up a pricing error. By not saying that it was an error, they are getting
in deep if a lawsuit pops up. Did anyone actually get an order in when they
still had it listed as in stock? By the time of the first post, they were already
in a backorder mode, so we probably have no legal leg to stand on. If they
say they chose not to carry it anymore, we really don't have a case, do we?
 
Mine just got cancelled on the Order Status page, but I haven't gotten the cancellation email. They need to get their act together because if that email states that they are out of stock, we can prove it's a lie. The website currently lists that item for $364.95 and IN STOCK. I have screen shots of everything. I wasn't really holding my breath on these but they shouldn't lie.

Not cancelled here yet either... and it's been put on my credit card (at least as a temp auth). Still not likely to get it, but one can imagine...
 
Mine is fine so far but most likely will switch over to cancelled soon. The kicker here is if you click on the link of the product in your order status page it says the item is in stock at the correct price.

I got my ordered reinstated today on the Geforce4. Lets see if I can get this order reinstated as well tomorrow. If not, no biggie we all knew it was a pricing mistake. Just wish this company would be honest about it.

I think we should start negotiation talks with this store or file a claim. This store should explain situation in writing for all of us.
 
Just looked, mine was canceled as well. They certainly took their time doing it though. I haven't ordered anything from them in a year or two, but their website is just as slow now updating as it was then. Even Dell updates quicker than this, and that is saying something.
 
Look what they were lying in this email, i felt really bad because they thought we are stupid.

Got the email and my order was cancelled too...oh well. But please this is not depleted or OOS. The least they could do is tell the truth and say that it was a pricing error. This authorization on my CC better not go through or I am gonna have to find a can of whoop arse to find and open.........
 
I got dumped, too.
Two amusing facts--their e-mail, as you know, says it was out of stock and the supply could not be replenished.
But if I go into my order history and click on the Palm m515 link in the order, it says "In Stock" 🙂

Further, they did but a temp charge on my CC...I'll have to keep an eye on that...

Oh well. Easy come, easy go 🙂
 
Yea mine got canceled and I expected that, but I wish they would state that it was a price error and not there generic LIES.

They better release the charge by tomorrow.
 
I show "Obtaining credit authorization" at the Order Center and then "Shipment Pending" on the Order Statement. (If it turns out this actually goes through, you can see when I ordered it up in this thread. I just did normal ground shipping... and only ordered one.) I'm just leaving town for a few days, so maybe I'll have something waiting on my doorstep when I get back.

I placed an order for 1 through NECX and got the cancellation e-mail. I also placed an order through Gateway for 3 to get free shipping and that one shows up as "shipment pending" so I am crossing my fingers!

I am the original poster and this is my logic in posting this deal:

1) First to post a hot deal that generates lots of posts - ther is some status in that
2) If I didn't post this, someone else would have
3) Return the favor to all who have posted deals I have used - maybe someone will slip through the cracks and
get this
4) If one person orders and they catch it, they say "too bad." But in the case of the BestBuy G4 deal, so many
people ordered and it generated so much bad publicity, BB gave us all a $30 coupon as compensation. I really
didn't expect to get this, but if a lot of us ordered and make a stink, they may compensate, especially since they
lied and said it would never be in stock again while posting it as in stock at the same time. Don't you love living
in a litigious society?

On the detailed page it shows "shipment pending"
