the suspense is killing me ;)

now that they have the price readjusted...
i wish they'd just let us know what's going to happen to our orders.
whether they're just gong to be cold and cancel them
or give us the product at the price purchased
or give us some sort of compensation for their error.

but don't give me this "product may not be available"
that to me is a load of crap.

i'd much rather they say that the item is cancelled than this crap.

My order center screen says "sending order to warehouse". When I click the order, the detail screen says "credit being checked".

I'll be sure I get compensated for both of our suspense in my frivolous and exhorbitant lawsuit :)

Just search for necx in this group - they did this with the Sonicblue RADAC a few weeks back - they were selling it for $200 when the actual price is $1300. They cancelled all orders or forced YOU to call and cancel your order, and they still haven't updated the items picture to the correct one.

NECX appears to be terrible at verifying their item information, and they offered no condolances for screwing on the RADAC orders in the past. You guys are just setting yourselves up for pain here. More power to 'ya since sometimes these deals work, but my experience is that NECX just sucks...

That's why you use a one time generated credit card number... with a set limit. My card also gives an option of "closing" a temp account.... so if I will see that there is no responce from them for a while, I'll just close that card and it will be invalid.... simple mouse click :) I love MBNA card! But AMEX blue is probably better...

i'm the one who posted a lot of that info in the other thread. i've been posting about this stuff for weeks now. my order is still not cancelled but still not shipped. have been in touch w/customer service but they are avoiding me i believe. i am waiting for them to fulfill my order with the incorrect product to take things to small claims court. this palm m515 order is just another 2x$450 on top of the nearly $3k i am going for (ordered 2 Rios and 2 palms).

these are not the ravings of a lunatic, these companies must be held accountable for their actions.

With the new link showing that the item is in stock with the correct price. Should one of us call to ask why our order is showing that the item may not be available (thats what my order shows) when the item is in stock if the CSR does a search on the m515?

One weird thing. They have m515 listed as cheaper than m505.

Mine says sent to warehouse, and cc to be checked. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Please no calls. Let it get through the automated system. Hopefully some guy in their warehouse is getting a bunch of printouts for approved orders and slapping a bunch of M515's in boxes... :D <hope hope>

Don't worry Timmis, no calls will be coming from me, I will not destroy a deal like some other people at some other sites. But if this sits for a couple of days in limbo I think one of us (and only one) should take the chance. They stopped this deal pretty quick so they did not take thousands of orders on this. The person should not even bring up the price difference, just why has it not shipped when it shows it is in stock.

Just a thought......feedback anyone?

I want to know why the original poster of this thread (or whoever found the price mistake in the first place) even posted this deal/mistake. If I found something like this, I'd quietly order a few dozen or so for myself. I don't know if I'd risk making it public and killing it...

NECX has screwed me so many times lately I HOPE I screw them this time!!!

OK guys, seems my top is about to blow, so now is the time to let it out. You guys are p!ssing and moaning about not getting this for 10% of the retail price. Let me play devil's advocate. Say you owned your own business and had your own website, and some pimple-faced geek enters the wrong price for an item, and 5000 people order it for $100 less than you paid for it. Now are you gonna send them out and fill all the orders? HELL NO!!! But it is ok for you to cry around when a multi-million dollar company screws up, because "they have plenty, why not share it with me?"

If you ordered a $500 item, and they sent you a $50 by mistake, you would cry foul as soon as it hit your doorstep. But if you ordered a $50 item, and they sent you a $500 item, how many of you honestly, would call them and let them know?

Shut up your whining.

And before the flaming starts, yeah, I did get one ordered, so this isn't some jealous guy that didn't get in on the deal. But if they don't ship, oh well, life goes on, will move onto the next deal, not sit and mope about this one for 3 weeks.

Personal note to Dood: You said they have screwed you over time and again. If you call not sending you product that they will take a loss on "screwing you over", then get a life. If you mean they shipped you the wrong product, no product at all, crappy CS on something you ordered, then learn your lesson. They shouldn't have had the chance to do it "so many times".

Well, better get my flame-retardant suit on.

um, Dood... NOWHERE is gonna take back an item with the UPC removed. They don't want people sending rebates then returning the items. Think about it. That's the whole point of sending the upc, so you have to actually have and keep the item. Now if it was defective and you wanted to exchange, I've had places do that and switch boxes so I don't get another upc. But to purely return, I don't blame them.

About #2, Dood, I got in on their Z-560 deal a week or so ago, and Asheron's Call was on backorder when i ordered. About a week later, they sent me an email. I could:

#1. Cancel immediately.

#2. Wait to see if it would come into stock, if it didn't for a few days, then cancel.

#3. If it wasn't in stock after 60 days, they would automatically cancel it.

Whats so hard about that? And if you paid full price for it, cancel and go buy it somewhere else.

Sorry, but gotta do better than those two.

Checked my bank account online and my card has been charged $44.60 :) Checked the order page and it still says order being sent to warehouse/checking credit or whatever it's said all day. Maybe I'll get lucky?

hehe... doubt it
