Thanks for the post. Decided to go for this instead of the Visor Deluxe or Platinum I was targeting. Now that the Palm IIIxe is $50 and $100 cheaper than those models (if you were to use the same coupon at Amazon), I'll use the money saved on yet another techdeal. 
Do you have to buy at Computers for sure to get the rebate -- I do not even see the rebate on Palm's site if you buy directly from the manufacturer ......
Can anybody verify that the MIR is real? I called the 877-number listed and it didn't go through. Anybody?
Yes, the MIR is real! I saw at least three B&M stores advertise the Palm IIIxe for $249 - $50 MIR in this past weekends flyers. Check out SalesCircular.com to confirm.
I will also confirm that the MIR is for real, as the online MIR from Computer4sure does NOT say anywhere on it that it must be purchased from them. It is a Palm rebate, not one from Comp4sure, so I don't see how they could pull that anyway. Also, if anyone is interested, I just picked up the MIR from the CompUSA B&M (as someone already mentioned earlier) store a couple hours ago. The local Best Buy would only give it out at the register, but CompUSA has a stand with all their rebates in it. It all looks in order. Thanks once against PicPop, I know more than one of us that had already been looking into getting a Palm are very grateful!

Has anyone gotten a shipping confirmation? I placed an order late, here's hoping they don't run out of stock and cancel the order (otherwise my sister won't have a Christmas present )
)Went back to Best Buy, where Sunday they had them for $199, then you use the rebate to get it for $149, and the price was back up to $249.
I asked if my raincheck that stated $199 ($149 after rebate) was still going to be good. The salesman said "I guess so."
I asked why the price was so low on Sunday. He said something about a "Market Reaction" and that they then raised the price later.
Any ideas as to what a market reaction would be besides "BUY, BUY, BUY!"?

Mine was shipped from Reno on Monday. Still not here (Chicago) and UPS tracking can go to hell!!!
