Accused of lying in her "book" ... by a former senior campaign adviser to John McCain nonetheless. I can only imagine the sort of victim mentality must have driven Palin to produce this worthless piece of crap. Oh we get it, Sarah, everyone's out to get you. Gotcha! You betcha!

McCain official: Palin claim 'one hundred percent untrue'

WASHINGTON (CNN) – A former senior campaign adviser to John McCain is rejecting Sarah Palin’s claim that she was billed for the costs of vetting her before she was selected as the Republican vice presidential nominee.

Palin’s book “Going Rogue” is set to hit the bookstores next Tuesday, but the Associated Press reported the claim Thursday after purchasing a copy of the book before the sale date. The AP reported that Palin writes about the legal fees she began to accumulate after returning to Alaska once the campaign ended, most of which were the result of having to defend herself from ethics charges.

The AP said that Palin writes about receiving a bill for about $500,000 from the McCain campaign to pay for expenses relating to the vetting process that took place before she was named as the vice presidential nominee.

"That is one hundred percent untrue," said the McCain official, who would only speak on the condition of anonymity in deference to McCain. "All those bills are from her personal attorney Thomas Van Flein, mostly relating to the Troopergate investigation and other ethics investigations. It is not legal to pay for those investigations out of general election funds, even if the campaign was so inclined."

Palin spokeswoman Meg Stapleton would not confirm the accuracy of the AP report.

"The book remains embargoed," Stapleton said in an e-mail to CNN. "The Governor will appear on Oprah first to discuss the book's contents.”

The Oprah interview, which was taped Wednesday, will air in its entirety next Monday. The memoir officially hits stores the following day, and Palin kicks off her much-anticipated book tour in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Wednesday.

Her and Carrie Prejean should go on tour together.

Why should this surprise us, while the general US public will have to wait for the book to come out to read it, various powerfully connected people have advance copies.

So what, Palin blames McCain and McCain, in self defense will blame Palin.

Cat fight dog fight, food fight, does it matter, all the hype sells books while loose lips float boats.

Just curious, what other books, movies, or CD's haven't you read, listened to or watched yet that are also worthless pieces of crap?

Just think - you could be the most prolific movie/book/music critic ever!

What is she looking at?

Why does everyone give so much "energy" to anything that has to do with her?

I like how she apparently accuses Couric of only airing the 'gotcha' questions in their interview. What's so funny about that is that Sarah Palin is so stupid that she thinks 'what newspaper do you read' is a 'gotcha' question.

One would expect a large vet bill when dealing with a horse that communicates by stomping its hooves.

This book is going to make the libtards squirm when it breaks records. Expect at least a dozen palin threads per day for the next 6 months as it sits at #1 on the best seller list. Hell Liberty and Tyranny is probably still in the top 10 after 6+ months.

It's going to sit at #1, because of the same logic behind american idol, survivor, etc... lowest common denominator . I'm one of those libtards you so wonderfully label. She's no threat, she's a fart in the wind, you smell it, wish you hadn't and then it's gone. It may leave some olfactory residue, but no permanent damage.

Back in the early part of this year Newsweek had an issue focusing on the problems of filling administration posts, especially with people from outside the government or academia. They did mention that the prospective nominee is pretty much expected to hire their own counsel and accountants, and to pay for and go through a de facto full tax audit these days-all on the nominee's dime. I remember one prospective nominee turning it down because his kids were heading to college and he'd have to get a second mortgage to pay for his vetting expenses.

McCain only picked her as a "Ohh look at me women voting block!" move
I like to think that McCain decided to screw the RNC after the RNC powers that be wouldn't let him pick the VP he wanted (he wanted Lieberman and was basically told "you pick Joe, we'll force a floor vote and saddle you with Romney")

Palin has the intellectual capacity of a radish. She deserted her post to push a book. She's claiming McCain shook her down, a very serious charge. Yet if she is found lying she'll still be held up as a paragon of Conservative virtue when in fact the reps should run. Then again there aren't any conservatives left. Lesser children of greater parents.
