2012 pretty pretty please? Now before all you reflexive righties scream "let it go" or "stop bringing her up" just recognize for a second that she is keeping herself in the spotlight, is injecting herself into the political dialogue, and that she has no intention of going gently into that good night. She's fair game folks, like Joe the War Reporter. Old jokes are the best.

Of course she will remain relevant in the republican party. Love her or hate her, she has a way to connect with people. Lorne Michaels had high accolades for her despite their idelogical differences. Said she really brightens a room.

Personally I dont see her making a serious run in 2012. But I do see her in a fund raising capacity for the republican party over the next few years.

What fresh ideas has Sarah Palin EVER brought to the table? None that I can recall. It all seemed to be rehashed crap from the past, dredged back up, but this time, with a folksy spin.

What fresh idea's does any politician have? Obama's economic plan is to rehash Keynsian economic policies from 70 years ago. You dont have to have "fresh" idea's to be successful as a politician. And as a fund raiser I could see her to be a bright spot for a republican party in a world of pain right now.

she obviously had some support from... somewhere.

I'm sure she'll make a go of it in 2012 and after winning 46% of the popular vote against one of the most talent politicians in a generation, I can't really blame her. it isn't really any different than Edwards deciding to run in the 2008 primaries.

that said, I'm ultimately confident that her run will go nowhere and she'll be out of the race faster than 9/11.

sarah is the worst thing to happen to the GOP. she's a dumb bitch that no one takes seriously because of her attitude and her alarming lack of world knowledge

Yeah that really enhances your point ...... get personal and demeaning.
You are a tool, go away.

Well, Sarah's PAC web site is claiming "fresh ideas." Soooo, what are they?

More oil drilling? More dumb socially conservative BS being rammed down our collective throats? A deep desire to rape the environment? More idiotic Bush-style international adventures? Refusing to engage in diplomacy? Embracing ignorance? Being anti-science? Not knowing the issues? Not knowing the players? Not knowing where certain countries are on the map?

So now it's unAmerican to support SP...this facist mentality reeks to high heaven. SP was a horrible VP candidate...but this incessant foaming at the mouth is a sure sign of rabies induced dementia. Also, I'm unsure as to why you would personally feel insulted given the criteria you've established.

No, not if she can raise any money she won't.

She's milking it for everything she can get and the more people like you hate on her and giver her free publicity the longer she will milk what she can out of the system.

I don't support Palin and don't relate to her ideas but you my friend have gone off the deep end with your hatred and rabid fanaticism. Agree or disagree ...... fine, but leave the personal attacks behind ...... you will much better be able to argue your points without them and have some credibility.

It's a standard move pre-declaration of presidential candidacy. Hillary did the same thing.

Palin is the GOP equivalent of Obama.

They both energize their base. That's about where their similarities end. Their education, understanding and curiosity about global issues, appeal across political divides, literacy, these two are nothing alike. You are comparing the editor of harvard law review with the wanna be anchorwoman. Making it to governor is certainly an accomplishment, but no, she is not Obama's parallel.

I think you have the cart before the horse...but if you're right, she'll never win the nomination IMO...won't even come close.

Yeah, 70 years that have given us the middle class, a level of wealth unprecendented, etc etc. How can we even think about continuing these policies?
Clearly we were much better off under the Republican policies of the last 8 years that rejected the policies of the last 70 years. And that worked out so great....?

Oh God. She scares the fvck out of me because I know so many millions in this country are absolute and unadulterated idiots and yet they vote. We should all be scared.

You are old enough to remember the 1970s. It also gave us stagflation, run away inflation rates, and borrowing rates in the double digits.
