It's an argument that cuts both ways, which is why the McCain camp isn't talking about this incident unless explicitly asked.

They don't really want to answer questions on why she was using a private e-mail account for government business, or why she is refusing to turn over e-mails she is required to make available through the Freedom Of Information Act.

Throw in a reference to the White House e-mail scandal for good measure.

I just don't think they want McCain talking about anything remotely having to do with technology. He does not look comfortable even saying the word e-mail.

It will be interesting to see if this turns out to be a vast left wing conspiracy.

Yes, I can see it all now, Obama and the entire democratic party leadership went to David and said, David with your brain so bright, please hack Sarah Palin's email tonight.

Well anything is possible, but just as the case is on the verge of being solved, it sure looks like another case of dumb fool kid syndrome, a common affliction that infects democratic and republican families all over the country.

You buy em books and send em to school and what do they do?

Maybe before we all get our panties in a bunch, we should wait for the evidence to come in first.

Just for the record, NOWHERE did I say that he did it. I only pointed out that the person they are wanting to speak with (if they havent already) is the son of a Democratic Congressman.

I must admit, I went and looked at the screen caps. Even the guy who hacked the account said there was nothing there except personal communications. I didnt see anything incriminating. The fact that an email address was in her contact list doesnt mean that it was used for business... or at all. I have several emails in my contact list that I have collected over the years... some of them are business contacts. I havent used half of them.

What we DO know is that hacking her account was illegal... regardless of why it was done.

I'm not happy that Palin's privacy was compromised, but she doesn't deserve much sympathy as far as foregoing her government address in favor of a less secure e-mail address (in order to make the non-government records anti-subpoena argument that Rove & Co. made earlier?).

Funny thing is, the hacker supposdedly found nothing in that e-mail address except personal correspondance, e-mails to and from supporters, and pictures of her children on that account.

And considering the fact that she has turned over literally thousands of e-mails from her official state e-mail account, I would say that it's hard to claim she was "foregoing" it.

O'Reilly attacked various online and other media organizations for their coverage of Palin's e-mail hack.

The hackers didn't like that. They hacked his site.

Really?

From Seattle Times:

"Palin routinely uses a private Yahoo e-mail account to conduct state business. Others in the governor's office sometimes use personal e-mail accounts, too.

The practice raises questions about backdoor secrecy in an administration that vowed during the 2006 campaign to be "open and transparent."

Even before the McCain campaign plucked Palin from Alaska, a controversy was brewing over e-mails in the governor's office. Was the administration trying to get around the public-records law through broad exemptions or private e-mail accounts?"

I do not think it's cool; I simply think that her decision to use a non-government website for at least *some* state business in the past if not the present was unwise. It didn't even take a sophisticated hack in order to break in.

That whole article is full of accusations rather than any real evidence. Not surprising though, coming from a rag like the Seattle Times.

Keep digging yourselves into that hole, dems. This really resonates with independent soccer moms

Yeah, DEMS. Keep digging that Marxist-liberal commie hole of yours! Yeah! That's the ticket! I've got some COMMIE RED WALLPAPER TO WALLPAPER THAT HOLE, OF YOURS, WHICH SHOULD BE RED BECAUSE YOU'RE A LIBERAL DEMOCRAT MARXIST COMMIE!!! 1.

Who gives a fuck? How much time do you think independent soccer moms have to read news like this, all between driving their spawn to practice, making Stove-Top, and checking their Yahoo! mail accou... OHWAI.
What the fuck are you talking about?

What the fuck are YOU talking about?

What does having some MountainDew stained t-shirt kid hijacking Saint Sarah's Yahoo email have to do with the "dems," and their relation to "independent soccer moms."

Are you suggesting that the DMC or the Obama campaign is behind the hacking and the news stories?
No, I doubt it was the DNC or Obama. But I would guess it was a MountainDew stained t-shirt leftie that did it. And it was certainly mainstream dems that spread it around (note poster). And mainstream dems have no problem with it, and are cheering it on, and are dissapointed they didn't find any dirt. So it's merely a symptom of the stupid anti-Palin tactics that are converting independents.
Confirmed. But much closer to the Dems than I would have expected.
