Both WIRED and Gawker reported that members claiming to be with a group known as Anonymous took credit for hacking into Palin?s account. Screen grabs were published on other Web sites and then deleted, Gawker reported.

figures...

Wow. Shocking.

edit: trying to find screenshots. no doubt everyone is curious.

Sad that she does Government business behind a private account.

Doesn't sound very democratic or American does it?

Well it does if you are Republican and hate America.

Funny I was thinking about a week ago after I heard she had yahoo email for her state governor address that it would easily be hacked. I don't think that her password was directly hacked but probably the password recovery feature. The password recovery feature uses had to know information, but in Palin's case it would have been easy to find.

Honestly, if there is any dirt, serves her right.

1. She set up the account so that she wouldn't be obligated to keep in-state business communications.

2. Yahoo email? How insecure can you get.

Edit: Deleted '3' because didn't have one

Meh, it's probably just a bunch of lame prayer requests going back and forth between Sarah and her faithful.

Meh. Smells like Karl Rove to me. It would be a tactic he's reportedly used throughout his career: play an offensive dirty trick on his own campaign, then make sure it gets discovered and widely publicized. It helps build sympathy for poor little Sarah, as well as distracting attention away from the legitimate story.

Or maybe not.

Absolutely fvcking GOLD. She was condemned for using yahoo instead of secure government email and now it's hacked. TOO FUNNY. This is indefensibly awesome.

How convenient. Palin's email account deleted and now she can't reveal them to the public.

Doesn't seem like they posted any screenshots of emails that were of government business... looks like personal email to me. It's ridiculous.

Seems that is the case, but given that it's one of her multiple yahoos and we know she has used yahoos for government business, it was pretty close, wasn't it? :)

Look at it on the bright side, at least Palin knows how to use email.

So far, from what I have heard, and I have not heard much, there is little damaging to Palin thus far stolen. Time will tell as the totally sleazy on both sides roll out their swiftboats.

I wouldn't keep condemning evidence in my private/business either.

Many organisations use TOR, what some morons don't get is that if you don't encrypt the traffic it passes through every proxy open as can be, you can just log it, it doesn't take much more than that.

Some parts of the Military got very aware of that some time ago and while i'm posting through the TOR network, my data is always encrypted.

I hope not. Palin plans to use GMail for the nuclear launch codes.

Where are my good friends Prof and CAD? I thought for sure they'd post in this thread by now with a stunning revelation.
