You're right. In most of Israel's neighboring countries, the woman would have been executed by now.
That's a whole different matter - the conservative religious views, rather than bigotry.
I'm not saying they're not worse - to play the pointless game of comparing wrongful rape conviction to wrongful execution - but it's not the same sort of racial bigotry.
Indeed, if American Christians followed their own bible as literally when it doesn't suit them as the Muslims you mention, there would have to be a lot more stonings here. But they only do that when it does suit them - or even make up things the bible doesn't say to further suit their bigotry. There are enough such bigots here today that some states would imprison gays for gay sex, if the constitution allowed (and a few who would execute them 'because the bible says to').
Hm, doesn't the Christian bible say something about not allowing divorce and stoning adulterers?
Two wrongs don't make a right, that neighbors who are too conservative do terrible things in the name of religious fundamentalism are a rebuttal to Israeli bigotry.
But people with YOUR bigotry can't resist just that bad logic - 'defending' Israeli bigotry with an attack on the neighbors, as if it has any cleansing effect.
It's a bigotry fallacy, how when you don't know what else to say in attacks on those who you are biased in favor of, that if you just repeat the attacks on who you are bigoted against, it makes you 'feel better'. "Oh, that's right, we really hate the Muslims, so let's not forget the big picture and be concerned about Israel. Let's whitewash our side's wrongs and unite in our hatred of the Muslims". That's a very wrong view, allowing you to continue your own bigotry and make excuses for wrongs.
It's the same mentality that used to let injustices against blacks go unpunished - the bigotry against the blacks just outweighed any concern about wrongdoing by whites.
You don't REALLY want to let those dirty black people be the cause for a good WHITE person to go to prison, do you?
Your attack on Muslims - however accurate or inaccurate - has no place in this discussion when used for that sort of bigoted appeal to ignore/minimize Israeli wrongs.
