PAL6035 & A7V power connections?

Um, I just plugged the fan (on my PAL6035) into the CPU fan power socket (near the voltage jumpers - see your manual). This is assuming the fan has the standard 3-pin connector; if not, you may need to buy some kind of adapter. You should really check the manual about this kind of stuff if you have questions... either that, or be more specific about your question.
 
Well...I remember reading something about the Alpha needing 4 watt and I'm not sure if the CPU fan power socket providing the required power supply or not?
 
I had no problems with it... the BIOS reports my CPU fan speed as 4500RPM, so I think its sucking plenty of power with no problems. Others all seem to be running the PAL6035 with no problems. My guess is that you should be okay. Try it and find out...
 
If you don't want to take the chance on a burnt fan header using a Delta 38CFM fan, get the adapter. I did it first thing with mine.
 
I have to agree with Technonut, I just don't like pulling the power for any fans through the mobo. Fan speed is normally reduced from a direct connection. With a little creativity, you can still connect the fan rpm monitor wire to the mobo but run the fan directly from the power supply.
 
Found out from John at Millisec that you newer asus m/bs have a 4watt power header, so there is no need to get an adapter. Hehehe...saved a few dollars there.
