PAL/NTSC Question

I just downloaded a movie... it's an HK movie and not yet licensed in the US... anyhow it's format is PAL how do i make it play?

It just hangs after the first second the sound comes through but nothing when it comes to video.

windows media player isn't biased to PAL/NTSC, infact I don't think there is a PAL/NTSC for encoded movies... download BS Player or The Core Media Player, ssee if one of those plays it.

I tried BSPlayer and Quicktime but same effect... I'm beginning to suspect the file maybe corrupt...
That would suck since i've been dl this for like a week

what movie is it?

Internal Affairs (1 or 2) ?

2002?

I enjoy watching foreign films probably more than domestic, though I like european and brazilian movies the best.

Those 3 I listed happen to be 3 HK movies I have seen.

well bummer, it should be in the US pretty soon though since it is a Jet Li flick, unless it is really old, or really unknown.

the properties tells me it's Divx 5.0
dunno what ogm is...

I have dl'ed klites codec pack and nemo's pack

and get divx3.11, its needed for some old ripps since divx5 cant play them properly

and then get xvid... and yeah thats the only thing you should need

and Nimo is bad news, as are most codec packs...

The only ones i use are Divx 5(from divx), Xvid_install(from somewhere), and Cole2k (google for cole2k) for ogm/mkv (deselect the xvid and divx options)
