As tvarad totally misses the point, that is exactly the worse case scenario if the government of Pakistan collapses like a deck of cards.

Basically what happened in Iraq in 2003.

Which would then stick the occupying force with total anarchy, corruption, and a possible raging civil war. Exactly what Al-Quida and some elements of the Taliban are hoping for.

If 175,000 US troops are not nearly enough to stabilize or police Iraq which is a nation of only 25 million, and it really tales 500,000 troops, Add Afghanistan to Pakistan, you have a basic 200 million people, do the math, how many troops does it take to stabilize that kind off mess? Tell me tvarad, where the hell are we going to get 4 million troops from? And what nation on earth is going to want to bail GWB's ass out of another fine mess he got himself into, as every terrorists on earth packs his bag to join in on the general fun and Jhad. Or stays at home to brew up trouble because they know when the cats away trying to repair some other mouse infestation, they can play at home unchecked.

But it does thankfully look like GWB has somewhat learned his lesson, there is always a McCain or Obama waiting in the wings to learn their lesson from the school of hard knocks.
