I have a box of paintball sitting in my garage. The question is do they go bad?

If moisture gets to them, they'll swell a little bit. Otherwise, I've never heard of any problems.

I have heard that it goes bad but I don't know anything about paintballs.

Shake them a little to keep them from getting deformed. Should be pretty okay. Worst that can happen is you use them and they get chopped in the marker or break in the barrel but never does any damage or anything just have to buy more ammo at the field.

Keep them well sealed and they'll last awhile. Aging isn't really good for them, but they will still mostly be OK if they are kept away from moisture.
