MAN that is scary. The thought of getting hit by a flying marble....ugh. I'm a concealed carry and I would probably end up returning fire. Scary. Whatever happend to kids throwing stuff at each other or shooting low power bb guns?
Strangely, when I woke up this worming, I was having a dream about watching a promotional video, on-location, at a gun-training/shooting-range place. How bizarre. I blame this thread.
What ever happened to kids being kids... and using things like spitballs. IMHO, *any* kind of actual gun, shouldn't be pointed at a person, unless you intend to use it against that person. That's just a basic rule of gun-safety, both for the potential target, and possibly moreso for the gun-holder.
Can you imagine what would happen if the cops get called about kids shooting BB guns at each other, and the kid aims at the cop when he shows up? To each their own, but if I ever have kids, I can't say that I would encourage or be happy with that sort of behavior.
OTOH, I used to purchase and use both cap guns, and plastic ones that shoot these little yellow soft-plasic BB-like things, and one that shot discs, although those could have probably damaged an eye if one wasn't careful. So I'm not completely opposed to gun-play/cops-n-robbers/etc. during childhood, somehow it seems natural in a strange way, but just not in a way that could be permanently injurous. (I actually don't know how bad a single-pump BB hurts - does it have enough force to put an eye out or shatter a light bulb? I never owned a "real" BB gun. So perhaps I'm speaking from ignorance here about the safety issues. I'm curious.)
