I'm using his id right now. He loves paintball and as a wedding present i would like to buy him a new gun. He currently has a shocker sport 4x4 turbo ( found reciept). From what I understand the type of game he plays is based on speed and who can shoot more paint around massive inflatable "bunkers". I would really just like some info and which direction model wise and what company is reliable. Thanks

Oh!!! Can I be your fiancee?!!?!?! I'm just starting paintball and looking into guns. From what you said, I'm guessing he's doing Speedball, so take a look at the Speedball guns at Armotech

I want this sucker

Nah he doesnt look at anything past a few hours old. I talked to the guy at a local paintball here and he wasnt a great help. I believe it is speedball the group of guys he plays with are trying to qualify for comps, so I would like to get him one that will stand up, any suggestions on a model

There is this thing called the Today screen, you'll see a link for it in the top right...your past 20 posts are displayed there. You better post in 20 threads after your last post in this one. ;)

Oh my... you could buy anything paintball related for $3,000 dollars. I was under the impression that the best most expensive guns where like $5-600 with accessorys.

EDIT: I guess asking him what his wet dream gun is is out of the question? Or maybe having his buddies do a snoop job, like have them ask him what he wants and then report back to you?

Angels I've heard are the best. Even when I go paintballing (only twice) I only know about Angels. Supposedly one of the best brands. And a $3000 cap is huge. I'm sure with some searching you could find one, but I've only known some guns to be in the few hundreds, maybe 1 or 2 in the thousands.

Oh. I've heard the good ones have double triggers, some kind of anti-locking mechanism, laser crosshairs and such.

Depending on the type of game you may want to look into a secondary weapon for him - A paintball pistol if necessary.

I could only think of CO2... the other maybe either compressed O2 or N2? The other gases are usually poisonous. Well elementally that is. Or maybe some butane with a fire adapter.. so when he shoots there's like a blowtorch.. hahah.. that could be dangerous!

well shows you how much I know. I have played it twice and only used Tipman (sp?) 98 pro or whatever. A good gun for rentals. Aint no microchip gun thats for sure. I never knew they had those. I guess if its automatic it would need some sort of chip to regulate speed and outward velocity and what not.

Well, good hunting and good luck!

That's fine. Best thing to do is searching for a paintballing forum like this one - only with paintballers instead of PC people. We know the difference between an Epox 8RDA+ motherboard and Intel hyperthreading and all that, but ;) you want to know where the people are. Check out
