Pain near outside/top of foot...

Entity

Lifer
Today while training on the elliptical machine, I noticed a pain on the top and outside of my left foot. The pain wasn't that bad, so I continued training on it - but by about mile 5.5, it got so bad that I had to end my session. Now I'm limping around the house. I checked this website - http://www.preceptor.com/CrsSports/index_1.htm - and I would locate the pain near the top of the transverse arch, I guess.

It hurts most as I transfer the weight from my heel to my toe, and moreso when I'm turning or shifting weight to the outside of my foot.

Any ideas what this might be? It feels much better after a shower but traces of the pain are still there...I don't want this to hamper my training much, if possible.

thanks,
Rob

It's a tumor. I'm sorry, but you're going to die.
😉 j/k

Could it be a hairline/stress fracture? Go to a podiatrist and have him check it out.

Your link is whacked btw.

well, can you descrive the area more? its above right? were you wearing good shoes? i hurt my arch before, platar fiscitis was what it was called..

On my left foot, it's above/left. I don't think it is plantar fasciitis; that seems to be nearer the other side of the foot.

It could be a stress fracture, but seems like it came on a bit suddenly for that. I'll go to a podiatrist if the pain stays for a few more days...I hope it isn't that.
