No, seriously Guys.

Started about a week ago. Feels like razor blade cuts or the skin is splitting open across my heel horizontally to the ground.

Not constant, just maybe the first step after Ive been sitting. Dont know how else to explain it.

Bone spur/Achilles tendon? I dont think so as started in one heel and then the other. Dont remember doing any standing or stretching that could have caused this.

Anybody have anything similar? Any ideas? Maybe the Jocks here know what I am talking about.

I had that - hurt like hell when I got out of bed in the morning and after getting up from a chair - still have the pain after a year and a half of medicine and a few years off it - you must have a bone spur in your heel. If you can, go to a podiatrist or a podiatric surgeon to get a few xrays. He (or she) will probably prescribe DayPro or some sort of pain reliever and maybe (if you're lucky) give you a shot of cortisone. Lovely stuff, big thick needle, hurts like hell going in, but numbs your heel for a few days and breaks up the spur. Good luck. :)

How old are you?

I had something like this when I was younger and few of my friends had this to, happens when your bones start to grow in your heel or something.

Thanks but I think my bones stopped growing about 1963 (you do the math :) )

Maybe they are shrinking !!!!!
