Towards the tailend of me installing XP I keep getting this darn error. Does anyone have any idea what this may entail? I can't simply install XP without this creeping up on me.

Any recommendations would be really helpful.

Try different RAM if possible or try a different slot. How many stick are you using? If you have one stick, you can try any of the three slots, or if you have two sticks, try 2 & 3.

Are they all the same? Try one at a time. I realize it may be time consuming. Also, try reseating the RAM.

Yes, they're all the same.

I also checked MS's home page

To troubleshoot Stop error 0x00000050
1. Remove any newly installed hardware (RAM, adapters, hard disks, modems, and so on).
2. Run any system diagnostics supplied by your computer manufacturer, especially the memory check.
3. Verify that any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, contact your hardware or software manufacturer for any Windows 2000 updates or drivers you might need.
4. If the computer is formatted with NTFS, restart your computer, and then run Chkdsk /f /r on the system partition. If you cannot start the system due to the error, use the Command Console and run Chkdsk /r.
5. Disable or uninstall any antivirus programs.
6. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing.

Think Caching or Shadownig may cause a problem?

What size sticks of RAM? I got this error consistently when I was trying to use two 512MB sticks of Crucial PC2700 a while back. Turned out the RAM was incompatible and was giving the errors. Not sure if this was ever fixed with a BIOS update or what as I swapped the Crucial for some Corsair.

If you can, try formatting the HDD in windows... Of course, you would need another computer to hook up the HDD to... :)
I did have EXACTLY the same problem, and that's what seemed to fix it... While you are at it... Make sure your cables are all good and seated properly... A whiile ago, I wound up RMA'ing a mobo because the IDE cables were not hooked up properly :)
