Page Cannot Be Displayed Error On One Computer

This problem boggles me quite a bit. I have only one computer on the network that can't seem to login to a page that requires a username and password (online depository). Every other computer on the network can but this stubborn one. The page is an .ASP if that helps. I've tried pinging the IP address to which it connects to but no computers can actually ping it, which is wierd (especially if the page is being displayed right in front of me).

is there a bogus entry in the HOSTS file?

can it browse all other internet sites properly?

Proxy server set up?

Can that machine get to the internet? Can it resolve the DNS address of the server? Can it get to any other pages on the web server?

Are cookies enabled?

Yes, it's getting to other sites just fine. In fact, it has to load two before I get to the login page. I put everything to default right before I tried it so everything that is enabled should be enabled right?

No, no proxy server set up.
