Yes, let's discuss whether or not to pronounce a Spanish word according to English, or Spanish rules of pronunciation. Great idea. Was this a serious question?

A double-L, in Spanish, is pronounced the same as an English "Y". "A"s are always pronounced like "ah". "E"s are always pronounced like "Eh" (as in "Hey").

So: Paella= Pah-ey-yah

Depending on region, there's a bit of an extra "zh" sound (sort of like the "s" in "treasure"). This can vary even within a single country, though; for example, on the coast of Ecuador they pronounce it as a simple "Y" and in the Andes there is a distinct "zh" sound.
 
Argentine pronunciation is "shia" or "la" (depending on previous syllable if I remember correctly) for the "lla" construct. So it's Pa-E-La if you are from there.
