LOL, I'd say that's a YES.

Pad Thai is my favorite dish. I make my own at least a couple times a month and it's good, but never quite as good as some of the restaurants I've tried.
It's amazing that something that smells so bad when you are cooking it can end up tasting so good when it's done.

Oh yeah, I'm a big fan of yellow and red curries also. Lucky for me, my neighbor is Thai and is always inviting us over for good food.

At all the Thai food places I've been there have been very few dishes with noodles, fried in grease or not. The highlight of Thai food is the Curry. Or the Curries; red, green, yellow etc. Thai Curry is the food of Kings.

Pad Thai is pretty much the least interesting, blah thai dish on most menues.

Ha.. actually I remember it being quite simple. They drizzle something in a huge wok, thoss in some veggies and noodles, toss it all around, then hand it to you to add nuts, crushed pepper, etc. If I would've focused on remembering it I could have, but when I came back I thought it was so simple and was obviously missing something key.

I love Pad Thai. I have had some pretty bad Pad Thai though. At one place I went to (AppeThai), the Pad Thai tasted like Spaghetti-Os. The rest of the dish sucked too seeing how it was luke warm and had no spicyness to it whatsoever.

Hey, just because your pathetic digestive system can't hack good food is no reason to go all sour-grapes on us. Try sticking to PBJs, and leave real eating for those of us who can appreciate it.😉

Try the Thai-ger Room, it's much better 🙂 Just...don't order it 5-star unless you can REALLY take a lot of spicyness. The most I can handle there is three, if I want to enjoy my meal. The Little Thai is also good, but I don't believe they even have Phad Thai.
The U-district has so many Thai restaurants, there's no reason to eat bad Thai food in Seattle.

I still haven't tried Thai-ger room yet. All my friends get it because they deliver but for some reason I haven't gotten around to going there in the 4 years I've been here. I do like Thai 65 and Little Thai. Little Thai does have Phad Thai, I believe. I think it comes with their lunch special.

I don't mind some spicyness which is why I generally get medium but at AppeThai I guess they thought medium meant no spice at all.

This thread is making me hungry for Thai food. 🙁

pad thai is awesome and it is different everywhere you get it. I go to many thai restauraunts and each one makes it a little different, try a few places until you find one you really like
