As much as I don't like Eli, and feel he's a big baby whiner who is mostly carried by his team, he did happen to be a big part in a little championship they like to call the "super bowl". Stop talking.

Leaky pass defense? Poor return game? Things of the past my friends. Might as well start fitting Tony for that ring now!

LMAO! One decent corner doesnt fix your secondary. Every other guy still sucks.

Q: What is the date of the Cowboys' last playoff win?

0-5 since.

I'm glad Pacman is someone else's problem. I'm so tired of hearing about that idiot on our local Nashville sports talk stations.

Time to focus on reality, girls. The Cowboys have a miserable head coach, looking over his shoulder at the coach-in-waiting, knowing full well that the first screw up or locker room blow up, he's gone.
You've got a QB who is more interested in being on the cover of People Magazine than on Sports Illustrated.
And a receiving corps that is woefully thin. Isn't Terry Glenn hobbling around these days, unable to walk without a cane and seeing-eye dog?
What Jerry Jones doesn't understand is that football is a team game. You can't piece together a group of self centered malcontents and expect them to cover each other's backs.
Sorry, Cowboys fans. But you'll be sniffing Giants fumes once again in '08.

Eli scores on and off the field... is there more to say?

Why yes he does!

Wow, that was a surprisingly ignorant response. I expected more from you.
In other words, there's not much you can say to refute it.

Not quite slugger.

-Pacman and Tank, desparate moves? Pacman was a great move to fill a need at both CB and the return game. If the move works out, they got a STEAL on a 1st round talent. Tank filled a hole created by injury last year, and really, his legal issues were way overblown to begin with.
-The coach talk is just stupid. Wade is a good coach, he knows defense, that whole "no playoff wins" thing is pointless. Yea, the music city miracle is sooooo Wades fault.
-Your Tony Romo comments are even more useless. Tony doesn't seek the spotlight, the spotlight seeks him. Just because he dated a celebrity or two, and the media loves to create Cowboy stories out of nothing (because they sell), does not say a word about his character. His focus is football.
-I will give you that I wish Dallas had drafted a WR, but they just locked up one of the best in the game for another 4 years, and when you've got a top 3 TE, top 3 WR, good running game, good OL, and a great QB, you can survive just fine without being deep at WR. I don't like Crayton very much, but he isn't terrible.
-The majority of the team was drafted in the Parcells era, genius. Free agency can be used effectively to fill a hole - like Ken Hamlin last year at FS. To even attempt to put Jerry Jones in Dan Snyder territory is ridiculous

So there you have it. You made one decent point, every thing else, completely false. Good work though!

Is that so? Terence Newman is one of the best cover CBs in the league. Ken Hamlin had a great year last year. They also drafted a CB in the first round.

So lets recap the secondary, shall we?

LCB Newman
RCB Pacman/Henry
NCB Henry/Jenkins
FS Hamlin
SS Williams

The only weakness there is Roy Williams, who in reality, improved a great deal last year. He's still a force against the run, and he didn't give up any deep plays last season like he used to. You're right though. The secondary is TERRIBLE!

Deeko, for all the greatness and perfection that is the Dallas Cowboys, why aren't they Super Bowl champions?
Pacman is great? Really? I don't hear too many Titans fans crying over his departure.
Tony Romo is great?? Now that's laughable. What has he done to earn that label? I mean, besides single handedly costing his team two playoff games in consecutive post seasons appearances.
So there you have it. You made no decent points, everything completely false and tortured rationale. Good work though!

 Dallas had a few issues last year, but in the end, they cooled off at the wrong time and the Giants got hot at the right time. That's how football works. Regardless, Dallas has worked in the offseason to improve those issues, the Giants got raided in free agency. You can't count on seven draft picks contributing every year. Are the Giants going to be a worse team this year than last? Maybe, maybe not, but from a high level view, it sure seems Dallas improved, and the Giants regressed, in the offseason.

As for Pacman, is he "great"? Eh, we'll see, but he was a first round pick and showed a lot of potential. He is a good CB, and he IS a great return man. He obviously wore out his welcome in Tennessee, you're a fool to think they don't miss his talent, even if they're glad to be rid of his antics. It's a relatively risk free move for the Cowboys, they got him cheap, and there's a ton of upside there. His performance on the field was never questioned.

Romo, as a quarterback, did not cost the Cowboys either playoff game. Obviously he messed up the hold, but he never should have been holding for that kick anyway, and he doesn't anymore. As a QB, he drove his team down to the 2 yard line with a minute to go, and were it not for a questionable challenge, he'd likely have gotten them the touchdown, too. Last year was far from Romo's fault. On that last drive, it was Patrick Crayton who blew it, not Romo. The final stats are misleading, the pick came from a last minute hail mary. Did he play lights out? Nope, but he didn't cost them the game, either. Is he Manning, Brady, or Palmer? Of course not, but no one is. Would I take him over Eli, or most other QBs in the league? Definitely.

You're not even trying anymore.

This is my thing with Eli. he sucks, and is pretty ineffective about 90% of the time. However, he comes up with some clutch, ballsy plays on a more-than-regular basis. I give him props for that, but as an overall QB, he's still a joke.

His college career was about clutch plays which we would have never had to make if we were more solid throughout the games.

I think some people are still pissed that Aikman, Irvin, and Smith stomped people for 3 out of 4 super bowls.

That includes non-Dallas fans who hated to see them win, and Dallas fans who hate that the current team is nowhere near that good, and probably won't be any time soon.

That somehow resolves you of showing any football intelligence? Interesting theory.
