Ditto... who cares about the frickin box lol... I thought maybe they were gonna go LGA and give the black edition chips gold heat spreaders and use ceramic instead of plastic or whatever but never mind.

as far as boxes go:

I like them, think they look visually better than the Intel ones:

But as others have said... boxes? meh... its the hardware that we care about.

Maybe the new style of the boxes is worth it? atleast people seem to like it.

WOW, AMD is really laying it on aren't they.

1st the uber switch on the 6990, now unlocked and loaded? Seriously? Who comes up with this stuff.

I guess they heard when people said they need to market themselves more.
