I just read the article about the new AMD virtualization technology and that it will be released on all processors made in 2006, does this include desktop? or is it specifically servers?

I imagine the socket M2 dual cores will have it as well, but don't know for sure. Presler has it enabled, and I believe yonah does as well, so it would only make sense that AMD enable it on their desktop and mobile chips as well.

I've heard that Yonah actually doesnt have this enabled (at least the initial Yonahs dont) but Presler does. From what I understand all socket M2 chips will support it, with the exception of the Semprons.

yeah, current Yonah don't have it, but future ones will, and many peopel think its already on chip, just not enabled in bios yet

People thought jackson was already on chip & just not enabled in BIOS, but no one has found a way to turn HT on in non HT chips. No one is likely to find a way to turn vanderpool on in non-vanderpool chips either

Vanderpool has actualy been built in since Prescott, just fused off. If they have it fused off in current yonahs, then even a bios update won't turn it on.
