let's say you lost your phone. reported it stolen (i mean got a police report). got a new one by paying the deductible. and then you found your old one. can you use the old one??

i have pacbell ...well cingular now. how does this work with them??

You probably can't.

well it depends, those things have an id card thing. If they changed your id for your new one, they probably killed service on the old one.. so it either doesn't work, or if it does, you'll still get charged for it.
