big 10 is total crap this year

Yep, total absolute crap. Why is there still half of the conference ranked? Excluding Iowa, Minnesota, and Purdue, who will all be back up there? Northwestern and Indiana are the only downspots of Big Ten football.

That bowl argument last year, where was the Big Ten? The Big Ten sent tOSU (who crushed Okie State), Minnesota (beat Alabama), Purdue (lost to ASU), Wisky (edged by Georgia), Iowa (beat LSU), scUM (edged by Texas in a very good game)...

That's 3-3. 2-1 vs. SEC, 1-1 vs. Big XII, 0-1 vs. Pac 10.

The Big Ten is not a pushover, and they show it by going even or over .500 every year. There's not a serious national championship contender in the bunch this year, but the Big Ten will go .500 or above in bowl play this year, mark my words.

Edit: Sorry, forgot Illinois. They're junk too.

SEC/ACC/BIG 12 FORMULA:

1.) Schedule blow-out creampuffs. Automatic Top 15 without lifting finger.
2.) Have a higher ratio of home vs. away games with the better teams.
3.) Bribe recruits. Pass them in their classes any which way.
4.) Go Bowling.

Rinse. Repeat.....Enter next year with Top 20 Preseason ranking which will ultimately land in Top 10 with creampuff schedule.

Poor Louisville....they schedule creampuff USF and get blown the fvck out! LMAO!! Louisville loses its Top 10 ranking. Lesson Learned: schedule a super-weak Div. II opponent next year in order to make Top 10. ;)

Wrong. If you lived through the Kiffin, Reed and O'Cain years you'd know what I mean.

I'm talking overall, not just after one particular game. And how is UNC struggling? They just beat Utah. They lost to GT and Wisconsin, while playing very good defense against Wisconsin.
Tell me again how they are struggling.

Again, name another era when we were had the facilities, as much talent, as many fans, and as much national attention as we do now.
Don't worry, you can't.
The wins will come.
To sit here and go ballistic after one bad stretch, with all the positives that the program has right now is ludicrous.
Nobody wants to beat UNC worse than me. But what will you say if we win the next 2-3 in a row? Then we'll look pretty good.
My whole point is, wait until the season is over before you have a meltdown. We are not a top 15 team yet. We don't have that kind of talent, yet. We will, if we give Chuck the time.
Let's just see what happens.

I did live through the O'Cain era, I saw far too many games where we lost to Carolina..we would beat a top team, then lose to a sh!t team.

Tell me this then, did you expect us to beat Carolina? Or were you not surprised that we lost? Are you angry that we beat ourselves? I know I am.

And if UNC isn't struggling, we are in for an ass fvcking against GT. I hope the team brings the vasoline.

One bad stretch? I hope by "one bad stretch" you mean last season too.

And name another where we had so much hype but so little to show for it. Rivers brought us those bowl games. I know we have the talent and the facilities (the facilities are what many players like about the school) and even the fans (helped by the hype and/or success that Amato/Rivers has brought) but we aren't doing what we are supposed to.

I am trying not to have a meltdown, but I am just sick of it. I can take either a loss to VT, or even just a loss to Carolina..but not both. With how we were capapble of playing, we should have beat at least one. Last year just left a bitter taste in my mouth. Where the fvck is the discipline that Amato said he was gonna bring?

Don't get me wrong, I hope we kick ass the rest of the season..but I am not gonna expect sh!t. Well..a win over MTSU would be expected.

I'd like to hear what you have to say.

Well I guess you don't have to, since by gods divine intervention, one of the best wide receivers in he country didnt catch the ball and we got an interception in the endzone.

He's only been to the NCAA's since he got Hodge. He should have been there 3 years before....we had plenty of talent to do so, but no coaching.
A good coach makes use of what talent he has and coaches to their strengths....he doesn't force the talent to run whatever his favorite system is regardless of whether the talent it suited for that system or not.

Hodge only went to State because he didn't have the grades to get into Duke. Compare State's recruits to its neighboring schools. Has anyone been drafted since Rodney Monroe and Chris Corchiani other than Hodge?

In comparison, when is the last time Duke or UNC ever not had a lottery pick? When have they ever had a season when they had less than 2 McDonald All-Americans coming in? So, if Herb can compete with them and win occasionally with what little he has, then hats off to him. Maybe if he keeps on winning he can draw higher prospects into the program.
