I used to drink Bud before it sold to InBev overseas. Have not had once since.

Used to drink Pabst especially when bowling.

Now they won't get a dime from me either.

Sam Adams is American but hard to find, not many bars carry it.

I really do put my mouth where my money is unlike the traitors on here.

This doesn't make any sense. You hate successful Americans, so shouldn't you buy the product more when it no longer makes them a profit?

All you're doing now is punishing the poor American workers that actually make the product.

Of course maybe if you quit drinking all together you could become successful yourself, and quit whining.

It's all about the rich getting richer, screw American History and Heritage.

So, if you bought something for $250 million and someone offered you $700 million for it, you wouldn't sell?

From your posts, sounds like you had a few too many in your youth.

Please, logic has no place here. Why do you hate poor Americans, Dave? Why are you enriching the rich American brewery owners/management?

Personally I prefer PBR over Budweiser any day, even Rolling Rock myself over Bud.

*shrug*

But I'm a Miller Lite fan still myself I guess.

I find PBR to taste green, unrefined. I was very fond of Rolling Rock until it was taken over by AB. I really don't like many mainstream American beer and prefer micro brews. When I'm in Canada I prefer to drink Kokanee and when in Southeast Asia I like to drink Tiger.

And your solution is what? Forbid foreign ownership of domestic companies? Meaning our companies would be unable to buy firms in other countries most likely?

Your constant whining is tiresome.

.

What bars have you been going to. 95% of the bars I've ever been to at the very least carry boston lager. 50% of those bars carry at least 1 tap of a seasonal or variant beer from Sam Adams.

Sam Adams might be hard to find if you never leave your house. I'm sure the Koch brothers are somehow behind a great beer like PBR going the way to the commi reds!

Try finding a bar around here that doesn't have Sam Adams.

PBR that was brewed in Milwaukee was excellent and was by far the most popular beer locally there. That was true before the move to California, though. Here on the East Coast PBR has been piss for decades and still is-I unfortunately bought some recently hoping the reason it was trendy was that it improved.

Exactly, all those American Billionaires just recently listed and a bunch of them in New York and none step up.

They are all piece of crap traitors to this country which is why I always say good riddance, they should all move to other countries and give up their U.S. citizenship that they don't give a crap about other than suck all the money out of the country anyway.
Bullshit. You're not happy when they leave either. You're just not happy.

Maybe no American purchased the company because it was overvalued.

Or, go right ahead and be pissed off at the world about anything and everything at all times.

You know what one good thing about billionaires is? They're not miserable like you are.

Why didn't you buy Pabst, Dave?

Oh right, because you're a loser.

Huh? There are tons of American owned breweries, lefthand is up the road from me.

Yep, there are hundreds of American owned breweries in the US. Go browse the shelf at any halfway decent liquor store. The shelf, not the cooler. You'll probably find 50+ different breweries represented right there.

Just in MN off the top of my head we've got Summit, Schells, Surly, Lift Bridge, Fulton, and Pigs Eye. Grain Belt used to be a large independent brewery, but Schells bought them a while back.

I don't know, I thought Yuengling was actually the last American owned brewery these days anyhow, got me.

Always seemed odd, to me considering the name.

I still would get PBR now and then even before it became a hipster thing.

My dad used to get it in the 70's, was one of the first beers I tried, stealing one now and then :p

A friend of mine's dad bought Blatz back then, we actually grabbed a 6 pack of that once that was warm and never went back, he he.
Yuengling is Anheiser-Busch.Owned by Belgian company.
Since they took over, their only product that doesn't produce next-day sharts is Bud Light.True story.

Yuengling is owned by Bud-say it ain't so. I remember a newspaper article a little while back that they were one of the last "large" independents.

Thanks for ruining my day. It's like telling a kid about Santa.
