And the best part: They have "not received any complaints from parents." :p
Pa. 8th graders' field trip includes Hooters lunch

06-01) 07:26 PDT Berwick, Pa. (AP) -- For one group of central Pennsylvania eighth-graders, a recent field trip to Baltimore included lunch at Hooters — a restaurant better known for its busty waitresses than its food.

The Berwick Middle School students were visiting the National Aquarium last week. Chaperones took them to various restaurants for lunch because the group of 100 was too large for a single place.

The Bloomsburg Press Enterprise reports Tuesday that one group of 15 to 20 students ended up at Hooters.

Superintendent Wayne Brookhart says that while he wishes the group's coed chaperones had chosen another restaurant, he has not received any complaints from parents.

Hooters spokesman Mike McNeil says the restaurant chain often hosts groups, including sports teams and church organizations with teens and younger children.

What's the problem? Last I checked there's nothing illegal or somehow inappropriate for children being done at hooters.

It's not like they took them to Scores for the lunch buffet or something.

This is about as newsworthy as a group of businessmen having lunch at Chuck E. Cheese. Might make you giggle, but outrage not found.

This reminds me of the scene in Old School where Mitch's boss makes a big deal about going to Hooters when he was in San Diego. Hooters, big deal and risqu'e in the early 90s. Now so much in the early 2010's.

My question is how the hell did a newsreporter actually find out about this? Was he stalking kids or restaurants to see if any "news" was made for the day?

I find this mildly amusing only because of a now infamous debate among my friends in the field of Education over an incident involving students wearing a hooter shirt to school; basically, the school allowed it at first; some students came up with a male chicken shirt of a similar nature. But by the time they wore them to school after about a year of students wearing the hooters shirt, the school finally cracked down and disallowed anything of the sort, without making any judgment or statement about the hooters shirts themselves.

My junior high basketball team went to hooters a lot on the road :p. We even took votes and it seemed to keep winning for some reason.

exactly. I think there are still some stories about this around the internet. It happened in Ames, Iowa. My friends, however, when debating it, left off the crucial detail about both shirts being banned and try to argue about a non-existent scenario wherein the school still permitted hooters shirts but disallowed these shirts.

a basket of curly fries + cheese dipping sauce + a big ass beer + some batter wings is good shit. I don't even like the type of females they hire but the fries are awesome with the cheese sauce on the side.

Hooters is a family restaurant.
And the next person who slights them is getting his ass kicked.

So?

I have been to Hooters a few times and I think it is waaaayyy overrated. Both foodwise and hooterswise.
